Wahkiakum Community Network  

Wahkiakum County's six year strategic plan has three over arching goals for prevention:

  • Reduce Substance Abuse Among Youth
  • Reduce Violence Among Youth
  • Strengthen Coalition Collaboration to Prevent or Reduce Substance Abuse and Violence

Strategies to accomplish this goal: A mix of strategies include a community norms initiative with environmental strategies, prevention education for youth, parent/family education and direct service support for youth and families at risk.

Efforts also include community organizing and mobilization to strengthen collaborative efforts, assessment of the effectiveness of local services, building capacity of the community to solve inter-related social problems, make recommendations for use of federal, state and local funds, and strengthen laws to reduce substance abuse and violence in the community.


Grantee Progress Reporting

Wahkiakum Community Network subcontractors shall submit required reports by the due date due using the proper forms and according to procedures issued by Wahkiakum Community Network. The forms and their due dates shall include, but are not limited to:

Wahkiakum Community Network uses this report to track and monitor programmatic progress and use of funds. Reports are submitted by email attachment and are due to be received fourteen days (14) after the close of each calendar quarter. Reports must be submitted electronically by e-mail attachment to Wahkiakum Community Network at wahkiakum@centurytel.net.

Report due to be received by:

  • January 14 (covers October 01 through December 31)
  • April 14 (covers January 01 through March 31)
  • July 14 (covers April 01 through June 30)
  • October 14 (covers July 01 through September 30)

The Contractor shall be obligated to submit required reports after the close each calendar quarter or at the conclusion of the funded activity, which ever occurs first, as well as during the transfer of obligations to another contract, or upon termination of the contract for any reason. Failure to file reports by the following due dates may result in a hold being placed on grant funds.

Final reimbursement will not be issued to the Contractor until the final Quarterly Progress Report is received by the Network. Wahkiakum Community Network may withhold payment if the Contractor fails to submit required reports or Program Reimbursement Requests within the required time frame to the Network.

Grantee Reimbursement

The Contractor shall submit a Program Reimbursement Request to request reimbursement of approved costs expended. Wahkiakum Community Network does not provide advancement of funds prior to delivering services; all billing is allowed on a reimbursement-basis only.

Wahkiakum Community Network uses this report to track and monitor the disbursement of Network grant funds.  Contractors must submit a copy of receipts and verification of expenses with each Program Reimbursement Request to document use of funds. Contractor must retain original match documentation for future verification.

Report due dates are:

  • Received by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the month expenses were incurred to be considered for reimbursement
  • Final Program Reimbursement Request due dates vary, dependent on funding source, and will be outlined in the Contractual Agreement.

Final reimbursement will not be issued to the Contractor until the final Quarterly Progress Report is received by the Network. Wahkiakum Community Network may withhold payment if the Contractor fails to submit required reports or Program Reimbursement Requests within the required time frame to the Network.
