Exceptional Results Award

Wahkiakum Community Network has been selected to receive this award because of work over time showing positive trends in reducing the rates of child and family problems. The Exceptional Results award is for achieving outcomes and excellence in developing higher levels of community capacity during the 2005-2007 biennium. Independent reviewers used a Performance Indicator Index to rate four dimensions that both research and practice suggest are most important in building community capacity:

  • FOCUS: A strategic, shared, result-based focus
  • LEADERSHIP: Collaborative leadership with whole community, leveraged resources, and sustainable efforts
  • LEARNING: Innovation and learning from changing conditions and experiences
  • RESULTS: Careful attention to measured “risks” and results-based decisions

Wahkiakum Community Network will utilize a portion of these funds to recognize the efforts of local programs and partners during the biennium. The remainder of the award will be used to fund local programs throughout Wahkiakum County.

Wahkiakum Community Network is Supported In-Part From the Following Organizations:
